Surgery of any calibre is an important decision that can have significant impact on your health, self esteem, confidence and general well-being. Below we’ve listed some of the more common procedures performed at Dr Warwick Nettle and their recovery times and expectations. It is important to remember that everyone is different and recovery time will vary from person to person.

Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty or nose surgery is often performed to improve the appearance of the nose or to help breathing difficulties. If you undergo a rhinoplasty, you should be up and about in a day or two, but we advise you take it easy for the first week. Bruising and swelling around the eyes is a common occurrence following nose surgery but should fade within a week. Most people can return to work about 10 days after the procedure.

Facelift
Facelift surgery is a method used to rejuvenate the face by correcting skin issues, deep lines and wrinkles. Patients should be up and moving in about two days following a facelift but should plan to take it easy for the first week. Most people are back at work two weeks following the procedure. Many patients feel tightness or numbness of the face and neck that can last up to a few months but that those feelings eventually fade.
