Overseas and interstate clients

Dr Nettle is a highly regarded plastic surgeon based in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, Australia. He is highly sought after by clients from both interstate and overseas for a wide range of specialised cosmetic plastic surgery procedures.

Our staff are experienced in helping you manage your visit and surgical experience whilst in Sydney. Our aim is to make your visit as pleasant and stress-free as possible, so that you can be as relaxed and at ease as humanly possible to concentrate on your recovery.

Please see the following guidelines for our interstate and overseas patients.

• Patients who don’t reside locally have the option to have a virtual consultation with Dr Nettle via Zoom. The first step for anyone who would like to visit us from interstate or overseas is to email Dr Nettle a range of photos to reception@drwarwicknettle.com.au so that we can assess your suitability for surgery. You may then schedule a Zoom consultation with Dr Nettle to discuss your desired surgery. The fee for a Zoom consultation is $420. The consultation takes approximately 45 minutes. After your consultation, our Plastic Surgery Consultant Michelle will contact you with an estimate of costs (including surgical fee, anaesthetist fee, and hospital cost) and available surgery dates.
• Should you decide to book your surgery, you can reserve a date by paying a deposit of 50% of the surgeon’s fee which is non refundable.
• Once we receive your surgical fee deposit our Plastic Surgery Consultant Michelle will send you a surgery information pack. This information pack will include the information about preparing for and recovering from your surgical procedure/s.
• You will need to visit our clinic for your face to face consultation with Dr Nettle, our Plastic Surgery Consultant Michelle and our practice nurse before your surgery. This is essential to help answer any queries you may have about your procedure/s, recovery and post-operative appointments during your stay.
• Depending on your specific procedure, you will have an appointment to see our practice nurse at our clinic to check your wounds and monitor your progress 1 or 2 days after your surgery.
• Depending on your procedure you should plan to stay in Sydney for 7 – 12 days before travelling interstate or overseas. Our staff will provide you with a more accurate estimate of the length of your stay in Sydney for your specific procedure. We recommend that all our interstate and overseas patients stay in accommodation located close to our clinic as you will be making several post-operative visits following your surgery.
• It is in your best interest to keep all your follow-up appointments at Dr Nettle, so that we may closely monitor your healing.
• For your own comfort and peace of mind we recommend that you be accompanied by a responsible adult, partner or friend for your stay in Sydney. You may need assistance in the first few days after leaving the hospital and having someone to look after you can help relive the stress and anxiety of your post-operative recovery. If you don’t have anyone to look after you during this time, there are several private nursing agencies, such as Kate Cares.
